Public transportation
Berlin has a superb public transportation system consisting of subway, S-Bahn, tram and busses and can be used with the same tickets from the BVG (the Berlin transport authority).
Traveling to Berlin Alexander Platz using Public Transport
The conference location - Berlin Congress Center (bcc) - is directly and conviniently located at U-Bahn/S-Bahn station Alexanderplatz. According to BVG information both stations should be normally reachable independent of ongoing construction work. But in any case make sure that you check/listen/read information given by the BVG at public stations.
Note: the S-Bahn between Zoologischer Garten and Friedrichstrasse will be closed during the conference due to constructing work. As an alternative you can the subway line U2 from Zoologischer Garten to Alexanderplatz.
